Summitt Energy Honours Memory of Bonnie and Glenn McDougall Through Donation to Annual Golf Tournament

Tournament raised $13,000 for Whitchurch-Stouffville softball and hockey associations

MISSISSAUGA, ON, September 18, 2013 – Summitt Energy strives to give back to the communities it serves so was proud to donate $500 to the 2nd Annual Bonnie and Glenn McDougall Memorial Golf Tournament that took place on July 6th at Rolling Hills Golf Club in Gormley, Ontario.

As the parents of three boys, Bonnie and Glenn were huge supporters of sports and the important role they play in a child’s life. To honour that belief and their parents’ legacy, their three sons, Ian, Scott and Devon organized an annual charity golf tournament to raise funds for the Whitchurch-Stouffville softball and hockey associations. Last year’s event raised nearly $10,000 and assisted 13 families in enrolling their children in minor hockey. This year’s event raised nearly $13,000.

This tournament is a great tribute to Bonnie and Glenn and provides much needed help to local families needing financial support to enroll their children in athletics.  Summitt Energy is looking forward to participating in next year’s event to help the McDougall brothers make the 3rd annual golf tournament the best one yet!
